Mark A. Bennett, Principal
Mark joined Brown, Rogers & Company in 1989. He plans and directs all accounting and tax-related work for corporate and individual clients, including business plans and benefit plan administration. His more than 30 years of experience includes estate and gift taxation, stock option analysis, choice of entity, IRS representation and working with high net worth individuals. He earned his B.A. in Accounting and Business Administration at Ouachita Baptist University. Mark's professional affiliations include the Arkansas Society of CPA's. He is involved in the Leadership Greater Little Rock Program and is a member of the Little Rock Executives Association. Mark is a Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Emeritus and has been named the chamber's Ambassador of the Year.
Joseph R. Colford, Principal
Joe joined Brown Rogers & Co. in 1985. He has been a partner with the firm since 1992 and has developed close working relationships with business owners in a wide variety of industries. The focus of Joe's practice is not only to provide quality tax, accounting and audit products but also to assist clients in making their business more successful. He also has some experience in performing business valuations and has developed a specialty area for the firm in providing ERISA audits for employee benefit plans.
He received his B.S. in Business and Economics with an emphasis in Accounting from Hendrix College in Arkansas. His professional affiliations include the Arkansas Society of CPA's. Joe is currently a member of the Maumelle Chamber of Commerce and UMM Maumelle Treasurer. He has been involved with the Metropolitan Junior Chamber of Commerce and the Kiwanis Club. He has held leadership positions on the Riverfest Board of Directors and has served as chairman of his church finance board.
James N. France, Principal
Jim joined BRC in 1992. Prior to joining BRC, Jim spent 13 years in Big 8 accounting firms. He specializes in income and estate planning for individuals, closely held corporations and pass-through entities. He also assists clients with strategic business decisions, IRS representation and general business services. Jim earned his B.S. in Accounting from Arkansas State University. His professional affiliations include the American Institute of CPA's and the Arkansas Society of CPA's. He is certified in Arkansas and Tennessee. He currently serves as Treasurer and Board Member of the nonprofit entity Arkansas Regional Organ Recovery Agency (ARORA). He is a life-time member of the Arkansas Children's Hospital Committee for the Future.
Daniel J. Morrison, Principal
Daniel has been with BRC since 2005. He specializes in individual income tax, corporations, partnerships and LLC's, fiduciary and non-profit tax returns. He supervises financial audits and reviews for our clients in the construction and manufacturing industries. He also specializes performing ERISA audits for employee benefit plans. Daniel earned his B.A. in Accounting from Ouachita Baptist University. His professional affiliations include the American Institute of CPA's and the Arkansas Society of CPA's. He is certified in Arkansas.
